Finally....some family pictures!!!

It seriously is like pulling teeth trying to get everything situated for family pictures. Luckily we got some really good ones....here they are!

I love this picture of my mom and dad! Aren't they so cute!!?!

Island Park

I have decided that vacationing isn't the same when you become a parent. It is fun, don't get me wrong, but the vacation is never about you anymore. Two weeks ago, my family went up to Island Park as we have done for the past few years. It is a beautiful place to go. All the boys love to go fly fishing and without fail, someone always falls in! This year it was my dad's turn! Luckily for us (or him I should say) the cabin that we rented had a hot tub where he could go warm up.

We also went and shot shotguns (of course I didn't, I hate them. It was too loud for Avery and me, so we stayed and played in the car) and visited Quake Lake. The picture of my dad looking through the binoculars kills me!! I love him!!

It was kind of a crazy week. Avery slept horrible. She thought that it was time to wake up at 2 am and play. She wanted to dance and just wasn't tired. The walls were paper thin, so I couldn't let her cry herself to sleep. It made for a quick night when 6 0' clock rolled around for Jake when he would leave to go fishing. Other than that we ate our hearts out and played games and rock band. We had a great time and can't wait for next year!! It's kind of sad that summer is coming to an end. I have to admit that I am kind of excited for fall. Not sure why?!

Happy Birthday to you!!

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Avery, Happy Birthday to you! We all love you so, we all love you so, Happy Birthday dear Avery, Happy Birthday to you! Avery girl, I can't believe you are 1! I love you so much and couldn't ask for a better little baby. Although, you have been throwing tantrums already and we haven't even hit the 2's yet!

We had a party on Sunday to celebrate this big day. We had my family, Jake's family, great grandma Olsen, and our friends, Jenn and TJ Carlson's family come and have cake and ice cream. Jake's cousin, Annie made Avery's cake and was so stinkin' cute. She is just starting out but seriously it was so fun to have something special for Avery. Avery was so fun! She loved the ice cream and cake and I thought for sure she would throw up after all the fondant icing she had eaten! Luckily we made it through the night without any issues! We had homemade raspberry ice cream that Jake and his parents made and it was delicious. Avery opened her present and loved all that she got. Thank you all for coming and for all the nice presents!

Thanks again Annie for making such a cute cake!!!

Church is a three-ring circus most Sundays, this Sunday in particular, Rylee was in and out of the bench and all over the place. Avery asked her if she wanted to go to class (meaning nursery) before Sacrament had ended. Rylee B-lined it to the exit and practically ran to the nursery room! 9/15/12

We were watching America's Got Talent the other night and Avery tells me that she wants to go up on that stage, but that I would need to take her since she didn't know where it was. I asked her if she was going to sing or dance. She, of course, said dance! 7/3/12

We are in the middle of potty training, Avery had had an accident on the downstairs couch and I told her to run up and finish going potty. When I came upstairs, apparently she had to go too bad because the rug was soaked. As she is sitting there with those big blue eyes, she proceeds to tell me "It's otay mom, you tan tlean it up, it's otay." I told her that it's not okay and she argued with me back and forth! It's not a big deal that she had an accident, but I don't WANT to clean it up!! 03/4/11

I'm sitting in the computer room and Avery is eating some cereal. She yells to me that "Fresh Beat" is over and I yell back that "Go, Diego Go" will be on...she yells back "Otay!!" Obviously, she watches too much TV! 1/17/11

We were driving up to my mom's in the far left lane, driving through the river bottoms where it kind of curves, it was dark so she could see the on coming traffic, when I hear "cars are coming mom, beep!" Apparently, she thought we were going to hit the other cars!! 01/07/11

I delivered dinner to a family and came out crying, Avery asked "you need a tissue mom?". 12/22/10

Avery went to nursery, and she has been having a hard time liking it, but the last two weeks she has actually gone without crying. Apparently, her teacher said that one little girl was crying and Avery went up to her and patted her shoulder and told her "it's okay, I miss my daddy too!" 12/07/10
