Bear Lake

Jake has been crazy busy with his calling this summer, and I needed to get out of my house! T.J. and Jenn Carlson invited us up to go to their cabin in Bear Lake. I have to admit, I love going up there. It's beautiful. Jake had to go help with girls camp, so I packed up the girls and headed up Thursday night with the Carlson's. Jake came up Friday night and it was so nice to have him there. As much fun as vacationing sounds without your other half, it's A LOT of work! It was fun though to be with my girls. Saturday afternoon, Cody and Natalie Done met up with us as well. It was fun to get out and not look at the same four walls!!

Addie, Rylee, and Paislee

These two might look like they like being at the pool, but it was quite the scene when we first got in the the water. Mind you, I'm 26 weeks pregnant. I was not in a swim suit for myself! They both kicked and screamed and fought me almost the entire time. Avery finally warmed up to the idea but Rylee wanted nothing to do with the pool. She sat by me and watched the other kids.

We even had a little dance performance from the girls!!

Saturday, we spent the entire day at the beach. I honestly can say, that is a little piece of heaven for me. The girls were so happy playing in the water and the mud, the sun was shining (although it was cloudy for about a half an hour when we first got there) and the waves and water were so soothing! I love the beach and could probably live on it if I could!! ;)

We went to the North Beach where it is shallow for quite a ways out. The kids absolutely loved it and the water was so nice. I thought for sure it would be freezing, but it wasn't.

Random pictures from this summer

It was raining and I told Avery and Rylee to look out the car window to see the rainbow. Rylee kept asking ...or saying "where? where? where?" She clearly didn't get the idea to look out and up! So when we got home, they both jumped out and Avery was showing her the rainbow!

The neighbors got a pile of dirt and the kids thought that they were helping!

We went with the Brown's to go see Monsters University. Avery thought it was kind of scary and Rylee lasted only about 45 minutes and she was done! The other kids loved it!

Jake ran Ragnar again this year. He has acquired a new found love of running! Hopefully one day I can join him in the excitement!I was supposed to run with them, but ended up being pregnant! At the end of the race, both Jake and Troy said that I should have just run...they had seen pregnant girls on the trail....ya right!

A Good Day for a Fort!

Today, after church, Jake and I were taking a nap and came out to find this! She has never done this before and I thought it was quite creative. She moved the barstool over and got the fitted sheet so it wouldn't fall. She was watching a movie on the ipad and fell asleep. She is such a cute little thing!
