Cheetos for Breakfast anyone?!

The other morning, Avery asked if she could have cheetos. I feel like I tell her no for everything and I wasn't in the mood to fight. So...she went and got the bag of cheetos and climbed up on my bed and watched cartoons! I know right, mother of the year!! Anyway, after a little bit, Avery wanted to get in the tub. She had set the bag down on the bed. I then went to go help her turn the water on and set Rylee down. I glanced at the bag, just above Rylee's head, and thought to myself that I should move that. The next thing I know or see is this.....

Cheetos...were EVERYWHERE! and it wasn't just a little grease. It was cheese EVERYWHERE! I was dying! They were in the sheets, they were all over her (I had grabbed her while I got the camera so she would grab one and choke), they were all down the back of the bed...It was so funny!! Next time there is a bag of chips above your child's head, make sure it is moved out of reaching distance!! ...At least it was on Jake's side right?!

The Circus

The Circus

I work with Melea with Freebies2Deals and had the opportunity to help her with a food drive for the Food Bank. If you donated, you got free tickets to the circus. Beckee and her family came and donated. So, her family, Jaymie and Haylee and all of us headed to the circus.

Avery was so stinking excited, she kept telling me "I'm so essited!" and was so bouncy and couldn't hold still! It was pretty cute. Rylee on the other hand, couldn't have cared less!! :)

I think the circus is a little over rated. I remember going with my family for Angie's birthday and it was as good then as it was now! It really isn't the "Greatest Show on Earth"!! We actually left after the intermission because all the kids were so exhausted.
Avery was so excited to see the Elephants!

...and of course to see Haylee!

We needed a family pic at the circus, the only bad thing was we took this right before we left! Avery was tired, Rylee was tired, and both Jake and I were tired! It's a lovely family picture!! Oh, and not to mention it was so stinking hot we were all dying of heat!
I can check that one off the bucket list!

Church is a circus

Today is Sunday. We prepped Avery last night, we prepped her this morning. We told her how she is to act in church....DO YOU THINK SHE GOT ANY OF IT?!?! Church is such a circus and sometimes I could strangle my child!

First of all, we had to do the prayers in sacrament meeting today. As I am walking up to the pulpit, Avery starts screaming. Then she chases me down the isle on my way back. (mind you, it was the primary program today and we had to sit in the back on the folding chairs and wood floor. We normally try to get there early to get a bench, but today Avery didn't want her hair done, she didn't want to eat, she didn't want to get dressed! So, we sat in the back. AAHHHHH!)

Then, she obviously doesn't want to sit still. She wants to dance in the isle and tap her shoes on the floor. Well, that doesn't fly, so Jake starts getting mad at her. We get the quiet book out. That only lasts about 2 minutes and then she is in the isle again. She is ALL over the place. It was horrible. Then here and there Rylee would let out a squeal or two and I seriously thought I was going to lose it. Then Avery starts crying again because Jake has to go up and give the closing prayer and starts chasing him down the isle! She is such a mess! I AM such a mess!!! Avery was so naughty!!!!!! I read somewhere to help your children be more reverent is to lessen the amount of "things" from home, as well as treats. So, I tried that. ....I'm not convinced it works. I think I need to bring my bigger bag again. And I don't want her to think that by being naughty she will be taken out because that is exactly what she wants. I a 'parenting for dummies' book or something. I don't know how to control my child. I'm sure everyone around me was so glad to be at church too! Church is such a circus!

Go Utes!

If you ask Avery what her U of U shirt says, she says it's her "Go Utes" shirt! It's pretty cute!

ShaeLee and her amazing talent!

Ryenne, ShaeLee, Mikaylee, Hadley (I love that she is trying to figure out the "U"), Johnny
James, Tyson, Chase and Avery

We had kind of an end of summer BBQ. Utah and BYU played each other abnormally early this year. We had the Carter's and the Becker's and partied it up! The Utes blew the Y out of the water. It was quite the blow out-54 to 10...I think. At least they won and everyone could go home happy! Thanks all for coming!

My skinny Rylee

These pictures were taken on April 23, 2011 when Rylee was so skinny. Looking at them now, she looks kind of scary, but being the mom, I couldn't get enough of her. I'm glad she is gaining weight now and looks a TON better!

Avery's First "Real" hair cut

Avery's hair desparately needed to be cut. The poor little curls are only on the bottom, so I took her into Cookie Cutters and she thought she was so big! She was so excited that she was going to be able to use a "blow dryer", but unfortunately they braided it and didn't need to use it. She was so big and so cute! She did great! She sat still and watch Blues Clues. -July 26, 2011
Before

The Weekend of Family Reunions!

For Labor Day weekend, we made the trek down to Beaver and went camping with my mom's side of the family. We love to go camping (especially when we have a trailer!! ;)) This was also Rylee's first time camping and she camped like a Champ! It was a little chilly but it was fun to get out in the mountains!

Doesn't this picture scream sassy?!

Always showing of her muscles!!

The Hawkins' also have a reunion the same weekend. Saturday we headed home, unloaded the trailer and then headed up to Idaho.
Avery and Claire Hawkins. These two little monkeys had so much fun together!
