Jake is on the board and helps out with Head Start. It's a program for less fortunate families that helps kids get ready for kindergarten. It's a pretty awesome program. I had never hear of it before, but it's pretty cool. We had the chance to go to the Gala in the fall and it amazes me how generous people are. People donate a TON of money. Honestly, Jake and I wished we had more to give. It was pretty amazing.
We had the opportunity to help with their Christmas Drive. It was called Operation Chimney. We decided that this could be a great opportunity for Avery to learn that you don't always get what you want. I don't know that she completely knew what was going on, but she sure was a good sport about it! She is my little buddy. All those bags behind her were gifts for different families. We stood behind the chimney and passed the gifts out. Jake helped take the bags to their cars.
