I went with Avery's class to Antelope Island. Third graders are so funny! The kids all rode the bus and the parents rode all together in one of the parent's cars, thank heavens!! I can't do the bus! I get a headache after, every time!! Avery's German teacher Frau Neil and Mrs. Wheeler both came. I loved having her German teacher there. She would point out different words in German. Avery doesn't talk to me in German, it's embarrassing to her, but Frau Neil says she is really good at it! (Frau Neil was shocked she doesn't speak to me, because of how well she does know it!!). Frau Neil has only been in the U.S. for about a year. She isn't supposed to speak English in front of the class even though she does know it! The kids aren't supposed to even know she knows how to speak it!! I love it!! This was the first time meeting her, and I REALLY like her. She is very personable and sweet and very kind. She is very patient as well! Heaven help her, there are so many kids!! Ha ha!! Some of them are definitely a handful!
