The Easter Bunny made it to our house this year. We have church at 9 am, so we were a little rushed. Jake also had meetings, so when the girls woke up, we quickly bathed them and got them ready and then let them go downstairs to see what the Easter Bunny had brought. I only video taped it and didn't get any pictures! duh!! Luckily my girls wake up early (I guess that's a good thing for days like today) and we made it to church on time. Actually a little early! Avery was so eager to wear her Easter Dress and was actually worried about getting one all week.
Jake took Friday before Easter off and we headed up to Idaho to see Bruce and Jan. It was so nice to be able to sit in the sun and enjoy the quiet! The girls rode four wheelers and played in the dirt. We had an Easter Egg Hunt in their house and also colored eggs.
Finding eggs at Grandma Jan's house is always fun! You go home rich!! Avery made out like a bandit and took home $16! She was so eager to buy a scooter, so she was excited to find all the eggs! I think Rylee went home with $4 :). good thing she is only two and doesn't know how to count! We could have issues later in life!
Saturday morning, Malad City had an egg hunt as well. We took the girls over and it was seriously hysterical! I don't think I have ever seen that many people in Malad...ever! They had different places marked off for different age groups. I took Ry and Jake took Avery. I guess Avery got confused and was trying to find the "golden" egg and forgot to pick up the eggs in front of her. She was a little upset, I think because we didn't really explain what was going to happen very clear to her. The eggs were just dropped on the grass and you just picked up as many as you could get your hands on! It was fun. I think the girls enjoyed it. I'm sure next year, Avery will be ready. After the hunt, the girls went and played at the park and the adults were just enjoying the nice weather and sun. It was a beautiful day.

Easter Egg Hunting at Grandma Olsen's

Sunday evening we went and had hamburgers and and Easter Egg hunt at my mom's. The girls love finding eggs and went home with a ton of candy! My kids definitely did not go without this year! I love traditions and love creating them with my girls. Hopefully everyone had a great Easter too!
