Summer!

Avery couldn't be happier than being out in the yard with her dad! Do you love how she is still in her jammies!?!! It's sun protection!!!

Jake gave Avery a Capri Sun and she thought the world had stopped! Obviously, can you tell she loves it!?!

Out in Grandma and Grandpa Hawkin's yard on the tractor, she wasn't so sure at first, but as soon as her dad got on, she loved it!

At the park with the Becker kids. We were a little disappointed that they hadn't turned the water on. It's now colder than it was then!!!

Here are just some pictures of Avery this summer so far! She has been so fun! and she still LOVES helping or being attached to her dad!!!

He did it and I couldn't be a more proud wife!!!!

GRADUATION!!!!!

On May 30th, Jake had his graduation at Westminster. He finally received his MBA and I seriously couldn't be more proud of him! Jake was supposed to be there early, so Avery and I went and saved seats. I know that this might sound totally lame, but as I sat and watched Avery try to walk around the stadium seating, for the first time I realized that I was so proud to be Jake's wife. My husband is sitting in the front with the select few who are going to be receiving their MBA. My husband accomplished this huge task and I'm so proud to be sitting through (kind of a long and boring) commencement with a very busy child. I have always been proud of Jake, but I guess for the first time I realized what an accomplishment he had just finished. When they read his name I totally was holding back tears. He didn't want to walk but I was so glad he did. I am so glad that even though Avery won't remember that day, she will know that she was there and that her dad finished what he started. I am so so so proud of him and so proud to be his wife! It was definitely a proud moment for me.

We finished the night with a BBQ and barely made back in time! Thank you Bruce, Jan, Dad, and Beckee for coming to the ceremony and thank you for all coming to our house for some food! Thank you to those who brought food: Jan, Natalie and Cody, mom and ang, Donna, Hailee and Jenn (I hope I didn't forget anyone!). We love you all and thank you for all your support!

Church is a three-ring circus most Sundays, this Sunday in particular, Rylee was in and out of the bench and all over the place. Avery asked her if she wanted to go to class (meaning nursery) before Sacrament had ended. Rylee B-lined it to the exit and practically ran to the nursery room! 9/15/12

We were watching America's Got Talent the other night and Avery tells me that she wants to go up on that stage, but that I would need to take her since she didn't know where it was. I asked her if she was going to sing or dance. She, of course, said dance! 7/3/12

We are in the middle of potty training, Avery had had an accident on the downstairs couch and I told her to run up and finish going potty. When I came upstairs, apparently she had to go too bad because the rug was soaked. As she is sitting there with those big blue eyes, she proceeds to tell me "It's otay mom, you tan tlean it up, it's otay." I told her that it's not okay and she argued with me back and forth! It's not a big deal that she had an accident, but I don't WANT to clean it up!! 03/4/11

I'm sitting in the computer room and Avery is eating some cereal. She yells to me that "Fresh Beat" is over and I yell back that "Go, Diego Go" will be on...she yells back "Otay!!" Obviously, she watches too much TV! 1/17/11

We were driving up to my mom's in the far left lane, driving through the river bottoms where it kind of curves, it was dark so she could see the on coming traffic, when I hear "cars are coming mom, beep!" Apparently, she thought we were going to hit the other cars!! 01/07/11

I delivered dinner to a family and came out crying, Avery asked "you need a tissue mom?". 12/22/10

Avery went to nursery, and she has been having a hard time liking it, but the last two weeks she has actually gone without crying. Apparently, her teacher said that one little girl was crying and Avery went up to her and patted her shoulder and told her "it's okay, I miss my daddy too!" 12/07/10

I was putting Avery to bed, and as I was telling her good night, she asked me "mommy tired?" I answered, "yes". She rolled over and said "Avery tired". And that was that! 11/03/10

At church we were taking the sacrament, after she had gotten the water by herself, she leans over to me and says "that was fun, mom"!! 10-24-10
