Today is my grandma's birthday. I love my grandma. We actually named Avery after her. I have so many fun memories with my grandma. One of my most favorite memories was when we were little she would take all the older girl cousins down to St. George. We would swim, shop, watch movies, play games, (hide in the murphy bed, although I think that worried her a little!!) and just hang out with each other. I remember we had packed so many suitcases that they all didn't fit in her trunk. I told her that we could just put it at our feet!! How uncomfortable that was for the 4-5 hour drive!!! I remember her always giving us advise on how to stay healthy, what was good for us, what wasn't. It was so fun. I hope that she had as much fun as we did. Some of my other memories of her are from the winter. I'm not sure why we were such winter family, but we loved to snowmobile and sled down in the gulley. I remember we would all come in from being frozen to death and she would take our clothes off and wrap us in a blanket and put our clothes in the dryer. She was always fussing around making sure eveyrone had warm gloves, boots, and coats on as well. She always took care of us. She was such a fun grandma! Another memory I have of her was about seven years ago I was able to live with her. What a blessing that was. My early twenties were kind of a challenge and she would always tell me to go talk "with the Man upstairs". She was always reading some church book, the scriptures, and/or watching The Spoken Word. What an example. We had many conversations while I lived there and I grew a deeper appriciation for her. She is close to our Heavenly Father and wants all of us to be as well. She relies on him and I think she wanted to make sure that I did too. I loved living with her. I remember when I was little when my grandpa died, telling her that I didn't know him very well and I wanted to get to know her better. I am so greatful that I had the oppurtunity. I love my grandma to death and am so greatful to her! I hope that she has a Happy Birthday!!

Girls Day Out
So for mother's day last year, all of us kids got my mom a gift certificate to go get a pedicure. She loves her feet rubbed so we thought it was a good idea. Well, we are lame and it has taken us until now to all go and get one. It was so fun to be with eveyrone and be pampered. I don't know if I am getting older or what, but I love to give gifts that make a memory. I guess I figure the gift lasts longer, who knows. I know that totally sounds lame, and not that I got to be in on the fun, but it was so fun just to have a girls day out with my mom and sisters. After we all got finished with cute toes, we headed over to Neilsen's Custard. YUM! It was kind of a cold day, but who could resist concrete! Anyway, thanks ya'll for the fun day!
1, 2, 3, say cheese!! (who says cheese when they are just feet!!??!)

Something other than Avery!!
So, I feel like this blog should be titled Avery's blog because that is pretty much all I talk about!! Don't get me wrong, she is fun to show off and to brag about but there are other people in my family too!!
Jake is going to school to get his Master's and will finish up in about 9 weeks. I can't believe it!! I'm sure he can't either. He is so ready to be done with school, although I am a little worried about how I am going to keep him busy ALL the time. He constantly needs something to do, and as much as he dislikes school, it keeps his mind busy. I will be glad when he can just come home after work and we can spend time outside as a family. I am so ready to be able to go for walks and not walk in water or snow!! I am so proud of Jake and couldn't ask for a better husband.
This last weekend my family all went up to Bear Lake. It is a tradition that we always go up over President's weekend. It is kind of nice that there really isn't anyone up there and that we could just relax. It is complete opposite than the summer, that is for sure! We had so much fun. It was soooo nice to get away even if it was just a few days. I have to admit that Jake is such a huge help. I watch other husbands and really just appreciate the help that Jake gives me. I know we only have one kid, but he is always thinking of me and making sure that I can "be on vacation" too. I truly appreciate him changing, feeding, bathing, rocking, and anything else that Avery requires. I am truly blessed to have such an amazing husband. He is so fun to be around and to laugh with. He is my best friend. I just love him so much!!
Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

For Valentine's Day, my mom gave us some beads and we all made jewerly, it was really fun! Thanks mom!!
