One of my favorite people....and this is why!!!

Jaymie seriously makes me laugh especially in her grandma hat at the pool in Mexico!! ("But don't get it wet cause it will shrink!!") We went last summer and had so much fun!! This is payback for the picture she posted on her blog!! Ü She is so funny!! She is laughing so hard!!!

25 Weeks 2 Days (04/21/08)

So, I guess this is more for me and journal purposes, but I want to remember what I looked like and felt like at this point in my pregnancy. I don't know that I am excited for the third trimester. I am starting to feel really uncomfortable and feel like I can't breathe!! I have such a short torso so there is no where for this baby to sit except in my ribs!! I am getting really excited though. We bought a crib this week and I can't wait to get the nursery set up. Life is so fun right now! There is so much going on that sometimes I wonder if we are crazy (I'm pretty sure we are!!)

Dakota the princess!!!

So, I thought maybe I should post something a little lighter than the last one, since it was a little depressing!!!

This weekend was so funny. I have the most retarded dog there is!! She is so cute and so funny. She absolutely would love to be glued to Jake's hip if she could. Jake was taking a nap yesterday and I let her out to go potty and when she came in I made her stay on her bed. She was staring at Jake and whinning! She wanted him to wake up, or move down to the floor and cuddle with her (mind you this is after I took her into be with me while I was typing, she wanted nothing to do with me!!). She LOVES Jake and LOVES to be in your lap. If you don't believe dogs have a personality, come meet mine!!! Anyway, we were getting ready for bed last night and Jake and I were laying in the love sac with Dakota sprawled over the two of us!! You would have thought she had died and gone to heaven!! She was snoring sooo loudly with her eyes open. I was dying! We were laughing so hard because she is so retarded! I should have taken a picture, it was quite the site!!!

Life is so precious...

Yesterday was quite the day at work. The first phone call I recieved was from a mom calling to tell us that her child had passed away earlier in the morning. I hate those phone calls. What a tough call to make, and what do you say to this poor mom? These poor little kids are so sick, but so cute. I can't even imagine what these parents go through every day. Every day they face something new or something that we, the healthy ones, take for granted. A simple cold for us could be fatal for these cute little bald kids....but my day didn't end there. I work in the Bone Marrow Transplant part of oncology and one of our patients who were very hopeful of the future, found out that the future was not so hopeful anymore. A test came back that gave them the information that the transplant wouldn't help. I honestly cannot even put myself in that poor mom's situation. Life really is so precious and working around families that have these struggles every day, sure does make you appreciate what you do have, health included. Anyway, working up here has been quite the eye opener and makes you grateful for what you have. Life really is so precious.
