Is your family as crazy as mine?!

I'm a little late in posting this, but here it is anyway. A couple weekends ago we went out with my brother and his date, and my sisters and their husbands. I don't know about you but life would be so boring without them. They all have their funny personalities and if you didn't know us you probably would think that we have some major issues!! We probably do, but we are all we've got. I'm pretty lucky to have such great sisters and brother who I am friends with. I am so blessed and am so grateful for each of them. We missed Aub and Ang, but hopefully they will come with us the next time. I am so grateful that families are forever....it's great isn't it?!!

When you set the timer on my camera it takes three pictures! It's kind of like you are in a photo shoot!!! ;)

Sam, tell Jessica that she was a great sport in coming with all of us crazies!

I think we might be crazy!!!

So this weekend we went and picked up our little puppy. She is so stinking cute, but I don't know that I remember Dakota being such a pain in the butt!!! Maybe it is because now I have a baby and now feel like I have two! The first two nights were really rough and I am pretty sure I don't do well with no sleep. It has been a little exhausting because Avery is scared of her and doesn't want to get down and play on the floor. I kind of don't blame her because as soon as she starts to crawl Zoey attacks her. She just licks her face but Avery hates it! (I hate that too!!) Anyway, we did name her Zoey and here is her pic!

Easter

Is this not the saddest face?!!
Easter Morning! Trying to look happy this fine Easter morning!

This was Avery's first Easter and it was a lovely one! She was sick! How fun is that?!! A week before Jake had it and then Avery came down with it the Thursday before Easter. We have been quite lucky this winter in that this is only Avery's second time being sick. Yes, we love the runny noses and can't quite seem to escape that, but this is more congestion. I hate it when she is sick. Although, I will have to admit that I love that she cuddles with me. She is such a happy baby and tries to be happy between the coughs and wheezing. We left Avery with Jake's parents on Saturday so that we could pick out our little puppy and I felt like the meanest mom! When you were little and you were sick, all you wanted was your mom right? Your mom was the only one that could make life seem better. And I left. How rude! Now that it has almost been a week she is still congested but I think the fever has finally left us.
As a tradition, we always go up to my grandma's house and have an Easter egg hunt. Well, I left the two sickies home and went and hunted Avery's eggs and our basket by myself. I wished that Avery could have been there. She would have loved it. What do you do!

Avery is still more joy than I could ever ask for. She still loves the bath and is crawling like crazy all over. Her second cousin Reese comes over three days a week and she watches her like a hawk. She watches her walk and play and it amazes me that she will watch Reese and then go try to do it herself. Avery has also been a great eater! She loves dinner and loves to have what you are having! If I am eating, she always wants a bite! She is still a daddy's girl. With Jake trying to finish up his last few weeks of school and working late hours so he can go to Brazil for two weeks, Avery misses her dad and on the weekends she wants nothing to do with me! All she wants is her dad to hold her. I love that she has that connection with him. I can not get enough of her! How crazy time flies. She is almost 9 months!!

Who doesn't want to save money?!

So if you are looking into couponing or trying to find ways to save money...I would highly recommend www.pinchingyourpennies.com or www.moneysavingmom.com. I would DEFINITELY check them often. This is the deal I got today! It's pretty amazing!!!

Schick Disposable Razors--on sale for $6.99
Buy two and use the B1G1 coupon from 4/5 SmartSource inserts
Use one $4/1 Schick Quattro coupon from the 3/22 SmartSource insert
Stack with the $2/1 coupon from April EasySaver catalog
Get both free plus $1.01 in overage! (which in the end I ended up spending $2 for 2 because of the dumb cashier....;)!!

***ADDENDUM****....so after hearing that my friends got a better deal than I did with the same coupons, I decided to look at my receipt again. I had gotten 3 bottles of liquid dish soap and they had charged me $3 more than they were supposed too. Not only did I not get my B1G1 free coupon honored, they also charged me. You are probably laughing at me right now (Jake did!), but I went back to Walgreens and showed them my transaction. Well guess what!? I got $9.62 back!! That means my total purchase of 2 rolls of aluminum foil, 3 bottles of dish soap and 6 schick razors plus tax cost me a little over $3. Can you say WOW! I love FREE!!!

And that's not all!!!.....At Target I got this.....
I got the Gillette Razer (on sale for 7.99 and I have seen them higher in price) and shave gell which was on sale for $1.89 all for $2.21 including tax! I had two coupons from the paper and then there is a $5 gift card that they give back to you! Pretty sweet deal eh?!

I get three papers every week. That means I get to at least by 3 coupons worth of stuff. Sometimes it means buying 2, other times it means buy one get one free x 3! Could it get any better?! Now I think I need to breathe a little bit and think about something other than finding a GREAT coupon or DEAL!!! It's all about stocking up and it is going quickly! Jake thinks I'm nuts, but what can I say!

In the beginning obviously it is going to cost you more than your normal budget for groceries. Everything that you need won't be on sale, but if you can stock up with the things that are on sale then hopefully when you do need them you will have it in your food storage! Shop through your storage first! It's great!!!

.....I need seriously help!!! I think I am addicted!

WANTED....A FEMALE VIZSLA PUPPY

So ever since we had to put Dakota down, Jake and I have had several discussions about getting a new puppy and waiting until we felt it was time. Well, we both have had hesitations but I think Jake is finally ready. He wasn't all about getting another one. He felt like it was replacing the one that he loved so much. I don't know that I feel the same way. I don't feel like it is bad to replace Dakota. She made me love dogs and why not get another one?! They are a lot of work, but are so fun to have around. Two years ago when we purchased Dakota, there were several breeders to choose from. Now, there are not many. Jake really wants one and I would love to get one for graduation which is in May. I would rather get one now so I have the summer to potty train it rather than getting one in the fall. If anyone knows of one let me know! There is one up in Tremonton but she won't be ready until the end of July and I'm not sure I want to wait until then. I may not have any options but keep your eyes open for me!! Thanks!
