Cutting Down Our Christmas Tree

You just never know what you will find in the mountains!!

Our tree!

This year was no different than the last few years, only we went up before Thanksgiving and it made everything else feel not so rushed. It was a beautiful day. We couldn't have asked for better. Jake, the girls, Josh, Bruce and I all trucked up the mountain. Jan stayed home with Hayden. I was impressed with how well the girls did! This has become a really fun tradition for our little family! ...it helps too that my girls love to be with their uncle Josh!

Last year we bought a fake, pre-lit tree because we went home empty handed. Knowing that we had backup took the pressure off finding one! They are definitely Charlie Brown kind of trees but hopefully my kids enjoy it and it will become a fun thing for them to look forward to.

Hayden -1 Month

You always say time goes by so fast...and it truly does. Here we are at one month old. I absolutely love this little peanut. She is such a good baby. She hardly ever cries. She will start sucking down her binkie when she is hungry and will act uncomfortable when she needs a new bum. She is definitely heaven sent.

Three kiddos has been okay. I was hoping it wouldn't be like adjusting to two. Two was harder for me. I don't know if it was because now I had to learn to accommodate two little people or what, but with three it's just adding one more to the chaos!

I get this face when she is done eating...cannot get enough of her!

My Sweet Hayden-2 weeks

Two weeks

We have made it to the two week mark. I have to be honest, I was pretty nervous to even get to this stage after my pregnancy. Two weeks after Rylee was born, was kind of traumatic for me. She lost two pounds and two pounds on a 7 pound baby is quite significant. I remember like it was yesterday, sitting in the doctor's office being consoled by the pediatrician. I was bawling. I had starved my child. I felt broken and like I had failed as a mom. Looking back, I understand that there were quite a few factors that played into her losing weight, but none the less, she was hungry. So today, my only wish was that Hayden was back to her birth weight. And she was! She was actually an ounce heavier. I couldn't have been more elated! He said she was perfect. That's all a mom could hope for is that her child is healthy and thriving. Today was a much happier, much better doctors appointment.

Her stats: Height: 19.5 inches 20%
                Weight: 7 lbs 4 oz 20%
                 Head circumference: 36.7 cm 68%

We also had her pictures done today by my friend from our ward. Hopefully I'll get those back soon.
